Project-based, expected 32 - 40 hours per week
Wage Range: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
As a Material Coordinator at CIMS LP, you will be a key contributor towards CIMS success by determining the quantity and order date for materials needed to meet deadlines as well as initiating purchase or production requisitions, while embodying CIMS corporate values of Our People, Our Promise, Our Passion.
You will report to the Shop Manager and be accountable for:
- Ensuring the continuity of manufacturing processes by ensuring materials are available on an as-needed, in demand basis.
- Maintaining accurate inventory of all materials in the shop.
- Managing the procurement of materials as needed on a project-by-project basis.
A successful candidate would be an individual who has:
- A diploma or degree in a related field;
- Minimum of 2 years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment, or;
- A combination of education & related experience.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- A high level of attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office and spreadsheets for inventory, cost tracking, and scheduling.
Working conditionsyou can expect while performing your role include:
- Working in a well-ventilated fabrication shop with adequate lighting and temperature, using personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials.
- The requirement on customer sites, supplier premises and other facilities as needed.
