Campos Fabrication is continuing to grow and we are looking for a Materials Coordinator to join our team in Amherst, NH. The Materials Coordinator is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of project materials, from procurement and logistics to inventory control and on-site distribution. This role ensures materials arrive on time, meet quality standards, and are available to support construction schedules. The Coordinator serves as a key link between vendors, project managers, and field personnel to maintain efficient jobsite operations.
Key Responsibilities & Duties Inventory Control
- Receive, inspect, and verify materials delivered to the warehouse or jobsite
- Track materials from receipt through storage and distribution
- Maintain organized and secure storage areas
- Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits; investigate discrepancies
- Coordinate delivery schedules with vendors to align with project timelines
- Support just-in-time delivery planning to minimize downtime
- Communicate delivery updates, delays, and changes to project teams
- Stage materials for upcoming construction activities
- Process purchase requests and orders based on project needs
- Track orders, lead times, and backorders
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve procurement issues
- Ensure materials meet project specifications and budget requirements
- Collaborate with superintendents, foremen, and field crews to meet material needs
- Resolve material shortages, damaged items, or incorrect deliveries
- Support daily jobsite operations through timely material distribution
- Maintain accurate inventory and procurement records
- Prepare reports related to inventory levels and material usage
- File and track packing slips, delivery tickets, and receipts
- Assist with continuous improvement of material tracking processes
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in material control, construction logistics, or a related role
- Strong understanding of construction materials and jobsite workflows
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Prior experience with forklifts
- Experience with pipe or pipefittings is a plus
- Proficiency with inventory management systems and construction management software
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy in data and inventory tracking
- Problem-solving mindset with ability to respond quickly to material issues
- Reliable, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced construction environment
- Work may be performed in a warehouse, fabrication shop, or active construction jobsite
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- PPE required per jobsite safety standards
Pay: $26-31/hr depending on experience
