We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Master Scheduler & Sr. Planner-Buyer to lead our production scheduling, materials planning, and procurement activities. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the seamless coordination of supply chain operations, optimize inventory levels, and support manufacturing and merchandising processes. Your expertise will drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain performance. - Primary for set-up and maintenance of Epicor/ERP scheduling systems.
- Direct and supervise the activities of the Buyers to support master schedules.
- Responsible to Plan, schedule, release, and follow up on production orders in support of customer and internal demands. Ensure that demand is met by in-house production and/or through external buys of the right material, at the right time, in the right quantity, to the right place.
- Develops and maintains ongoing short- and long-term production plans that result in the product supply meeting customer demand. Plan is consistent with business objectives and designed to maximize customer service and minimize inventory investment.
- Follow up of all work orders in support of customer and internal demands and communicates production status with all levels inside and outside the facility.
- Positively affect high On-Time Delivery, low delinquencies (past-due orders), and reduced production costs.

- Develops the monthly master schedule from various inputs such as customer forecasts, sales order backlog, and safety stock levels. Maintains a long-term schedule plan and reporting on any business risks associated with forecasts.
- Review all new order additions to backlog and existing customer demands and provide Production’s commitments to Sales. Keep due dates updated in ERP.
- Using the MRP system, establish the required quantities and availability of materials needed to meet backlog demands. Release shop work orders accordingly.
- Proactively works and communicate across the organization on scheduling issues and material shortages. Identifies opportunities and actions needed to ensure deliveries and department objectives are met.
- Create, update, and publish work center schedules and dispatch lists. Review capacity at each work center and adjust schedules to balance workflow and workload accordingly.
- Expedite work orders/operations that delay schedules, De-expedite work orders/operations on order push-outs and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
- Transacts ERP transactions, work orders, and rework orders according to established procedures.
- Control of Master Data in the ERP system to ensure the standards are fully complied with and ERP settings are set correctly to support business needs.- Bachelor Degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and 5+ years of professional experience in a similar role.
- Strong Computer knowledge of MS office products such as Excel and Word.
- Strong understanding and experience with ERP systems such as Epicore. Knowledge of JobBoss is a plus.
- APICS, CPIM or CSCP Certification a plus.
- Ability to manage in a high mix/low volume manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of aerospace configuration management systems
- Ability to read and interpret drawings.
- Ability to read, comprehend and follow complicated verbal, precision drawings, and written instructions.
- Strong oral and written communication skills required to effectively present information, write reports, and process work instructions.
- Ability to to interact with all levels inside and outside the facility.
- Individual must be able to carry job boxes up to 25 lbs and know to ask for help in any situation where the job might exceed 25 lbs.
