About the Role
The Marketing & Communications Specialist is responsible for managing the organization's marketing and branding efforts, as well as developing, writing, and distributing content that promotes United Utility’s brand, mission, and capabilities to both internal and external audiences. This role supports the planning and execution of marketing communication strategies across various channels, including social media, digital platforms, and internal/external communications. This is a hybrid position based out of Charlotte, NC, New Orleans, LA, or Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Candidates are required to report in office on a 3x2 schedule.
Key Responsibilities
•Craft compelling content and deliver effective messaging across multiple channels to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
•Develop and implement comprehensive internal and external communication strategies, including drafting announcements, employee newsletters, and intranet updates.
•Monitor brand reputation across media and digital platforms, providing recommendations for response or engagement to maintain a positive brand image.
•Collaborate with key stakeholders and leadership teams to align messaging and support organizational goals.
•Edit and proofread content to ensure it adheres to brand voice, style, and tone, maintaining consistency across all communications.
•Plan and support attendance at industry conferences, major customer engagements, and campaigns that promote the brand and its initiatives.
•Track and report on communication efforts, suggesting improvements based on data and feedback to optimize marketing strategies.
•Create and manage content for marketing campaigns, including email newsletters, press releases, blog posts, brochures, and social media updates.
•Support the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies to drive brand awareness and customer engagement.
•Coordinate events, trade shows, webinars, and other promotional activities to enhance brand presence.
•Manage the organization’s marketing collateral
•Analyze campaign performance metrics and generate reports to measure effectiveness and inform future strategy.
•Maintain and update the company website and other digital assets to ensure they reflect the brand's identity and objectives.
•Ensure all communications align with brand voice, style guidelines, and business objectives.
•Manage marketing budgets and report out quarterly on activities.
Collaboration with Operations/Business Development Teams:
•Work closely with the sales team to understand their needs and develop marketing materials that support their efforts.
•Provide the sales team with up-to-date information on marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotional activities.
•Collaborate with the sales team to create targeted marketing strategies that drive lead generation and customer acquisition.
•Support the sales team in preparing for client meetings, presentations, and trade shows by providing relevant marketing collateral and insights.
•Gather feedback from the sales team to continuously improve marketing strategies and materials.
Metrics for Measuring Success:
•Track the reach and engagement of marketing campaigns across various channels, including social media, email campaigns, and website traffic.
•Measure the effectiveness of communication strategies through metrics such as open rates.
•Monitor lead generation metrics to assess the impact of marketing efforts on sales.
•Evaluate the success of events, trade shows, and promotional activities based on attendance, engagement, and feedback.
•Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform future marketing and communication strategies.
Key Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field.
•3 – 5 years of experience in marketing or brand management type of role.
•Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
•Strong organizational and project management abilities.
•Familiarity with social media management and media monitoring tools including knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics.
•Experience managing participation in industry trade shows.
•Intermediate experience with MS Office and Design products including PowerPoint, Photoshop and Excel.
