Position Specific Description

The Communications Specialist supports NextEra Energy Resources’ Strategic Communications and Thought Leadership teams. This job is responsible for the development of communication materials from the earliest stages of concept and development through to successful on-time delivery as measured by achievement of metrics. Employees in this role support business objectives for internal and external communications and social media. Individuals in this position are expected to understand client needs and develop comprehensive communication solutions.

Job Overview

Under the guidance of a lead or a leader, employees in this role are responsible for providing excellent communication support to assigned business unit as measured by completion of required planning and execution, and client feedback. Employees in this role are responsible for using business and customer insights to support the development and implementation of communication strategies and tactics to improve customer and stakeholder perception as measured by campaign results, which may include media coverage, and brand and message awareness results. Employees in this role may be expected to provide excellent media relations support as measured by media results. This role requires a highly motivated individual with strong planning capabilities, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
