Our US Commercial Marketing team is looking to add a Manager, Energy Trading to support our Lower 48 US Energy Trading & Marketing Initiatives, based in Houston, TX.

Reporting to the Director, US Commercial Marketing, this position will lead a Team of physical natural gas traders overseeing a growing portfolio of gas assets. We are seeking an experienced, insightful, and compelling Energy Trading professional with proven skills, competencies, and intellect to sponsor result recreation and thought leadership across a very dynamic trading complex, and to lead by example as it pertains to diligence, creativity, & dependable result creation.

- Strategic Leadership - Drive growth, scalability, and dependability / visibility of earnings across L48 physical gas trading activities, with a particular emphasis on the South, East, Northeast, and Mid-West regions as the asset portfolio grows.

- Relationship Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with external market makers, exchanges, and brokers to support cross-regional (& cross-commodity) insight.

- Cross-functional Collaboration - Partner with Commercial Operations, Commercial Analytics, and Market / Counter-party Risk teams to align trading strategies with Enterprise / BU goals.

- Team Building - Build and mentor a high-performing Trading team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement rooted in 3 core values; Integrity, Audacity, Humility

- Risk Management Expertise - Develop and implement effective and robust risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate / accentuate trading risks proportional to conviction.

- Technology & Process Improvement - Identify and support the implementation of trading technology enhancements to optimize efficiency, transparency, and proprietary insight creation.

- Financial Modeling - Oversee financial models and projections for trading P&L, identifying & solving for discrepancies vs plan / targets.

- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills - Analyze complex market data, identify market trends & anomalies, and develop market execution / trading strategies.

- Industry Thought Leadership - Stay ahead of market structure, execution trends, and regulatory developments to inform and guide Origination strategy.

Minimum Qualifications

- Post-Secondary Degree in statistics, math, finance, commerce, or other relevant discipline

- 10 years of related trading experience, including leadership experience

- Strong analytical capabilities with a bias towards data-driven conclusions

- Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal skills, with proven talent for building & supporting strong teams & relationships

- Proven experience analyzing complex market data, identifying market trends & anomalies, and developing market execution / trading strategies

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with physical gas trading activities across the Lower 48
