What role you will play in our team

Seeking a maintenance & turnaround student technician to support our upstream operations in Newfoundland. Students will have the opportunity to support two world-class offshore facilities, Hibernia and Hebron, and will be working alongside some of the most talented technical professionals in the industry. Each student will be assigned a dedicated mentor experienced in their assigned area and will receive work items which are integral to our safe and reliable offshore operations. The selected individuals also will work at our new, open-concept office in St. John's, Newfoundland, a space which is focused on collaboration, efficiency, safety and fun!

What you will do

As a part of the Asset Maintenance team(s), you will be supporting day-to-day offshore maintenance activities with a broad range of responsibilities. Work environment and tasks will be fast-paced, technical and exciting, including items such as:

- Provide day-to-day maintenance support to Platform operations for queries, spare parts, etc.

- Maintenance Program optimization (right work, right frequency).

- Identification of equipment reliability improvement by evaluation of: "bad actors", MT BF analysis, etc.

- Participate in Turnaround planning and work scope development.

- Resolve technical queries associated with SAP data history

- Liaise closely With the Engineering Group on Maintenance & Reliability related activities.

About you

Skills and Qualifications

- Currently enrolled in a College Technology program and returning to full-time studies after the work term

- To be considered for employment, your most recent unofficial transcript(s) must be submitted with your application

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

- Strong communication skills, including interface with internal and external stakeholders and contractors

- Commitment to safety on and off the job

- Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications

- Ability to work with a minimal supervision and in a team-based environment

- Previous petroleum industry experience is considered beneficial, but not essential

- Demonstrated leadership and strong academic skills

- Initiative, independence and accountability for tasks and understanding impacts on the business

- Work schedule: Full Time
