Major roles and responsibilities for the Maintenance Outage Discipline Coordinator include the following:
Develop and publish logic tied, resource loaded, outage schedules. Ensures outage schedules conform to scheduling standards established by Technical Specifications and Scheduling guidelines. Maximize overall equipment availability and reliability. Attend and support outage improvement team meetings. Obtain and implement feedback on process improvements for future outages. Ensuring a constructive and healthy relationship with outage scheduling customers such as maintenance production, engineering and other affected work groups. Represent their respective discipline as it relates to outage activities. Ensure respective discipline outage readiness. Develop plans to prepare their discipline work group for the outage. These plans include detailed actions, timelines, due dates, and department approval of the plans. Identification of contractor work split, specialty skills, resource requirements. Ensure support services such as scaffolding, temporary lighting and insulation are identified and scheduled as appropriate. Identification and development of contingency plan requirements. Ensuring adequate resource loading for discipline work scope. Assist their respective discipline manager in:
Emergency Plan Support – Perform NERO duties and responsibilities as qualified and assigned.
High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a nuclear power plant, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and testing a wide variety of equipment typical to nuclear power generating stations. Experience in work document review, component information and modification process; knowledge of work implementation and work management processes.
Should have a good knowledge of the systems within a power plant. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a nuclear power plant preferred. Should have good technical ability on almost all plant equipment pertaining to their specific discipline. Familiar with Primavera P6: work windows, logic ties and resource manpower loading; capable of obtaining various P6 reports. NIMS- experience in work document review, component information and modification process; knowledge of work implementation and work management processes.
