Role Synopsis
The Maintenance Manager will lead and oversee the
Maintenance/Construction,
Automation, and
Gas/Oil Measurementteams for upstream oil and gas operations. This role ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective maintenance and construction activities while driving continuous improvement in safety, reliability, and operational performance.
Key Accountabilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Foster a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Lead and develop General Maintenance / Brownfield Facilities Construction, Automation, and Measurement teams.
- Manage budgets, drive cycle time and cost improvements.
- Coordinate development training programs, task qualification, and competency assessments for staff and contractors.
- Ensure adherence to company and regulatory standards for facilities design, construction, and maintenance.
- Lead risk assessments for high-risk activities (ground disturbance, lifting, working at heights, energy isolation).
- Drive improvements in safety and standard operating procedures.
- Manage work planning and execution for efficient resource allocation.
- Optimize crew utilization and construction methods for efficiency and cost control.
- Participate in engineering reviews, materials selection, and design compliance for facility enhancement projects.
- Lead project planning, execution, and monitoring for maintenance and construction initiatives.
- Track and report KPIs on cost, cycle times, and resource utilization.
- Implement strategies for cost reduction and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain to secure critical spares and cost-effective materials.
- Manage vendor relationships, RFP processes, and contract negotiations for projects and services.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials for maintenance and construction projects.
- Identify and implement improvements in safety, reliability, and cost performance.
- Improve work management tracking tools with support from central teams.
- Support automation and measurement initiatives to enhance operational integrity.
- Preferred degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years in upstream oil and gas maintenance/construction, with leadership experience.- Strong knowledge of SAP PM, work management systems, and project controls.
- Proven track record in vendor management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization.
- Deep understanding of safety standards and risk management for high-hazard activities.

How much do we pay (Base) $158,000-$186,000. Note that the pay range listed for this position is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.
