A Machinist is responsible for the following duties:

•

Set up, operate, and maintain various machines, including Brake, Shear, Ironworker, Band Saw, Drill Presses, Turning Lathes, Horizontal Mill, and others as required.

•

Process machined parts according to production job requirements while understanding machine capacities, proper adjustments, and routine maintenance.

•

Optimize raw material usage to minimize waste and ensure leftover materials are properly stored.

•

Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are in their designated locations.

•

Follow all safety procedures and perform additional duties as assigned to support production needs.

Compensation

•

The starting pay range for this position is $20- $24 per hour. Final compensation will depend on various factors including: skills, experience, and location.

Day Shift

•

6:00am - 4:30pm Monday through Thursday | 6:00am - 11:00am Friday

Qualifications

•

Proficient in reading measurements down to 1/8", 1/16", and 1/32" gradations, as well as converting between feet, inches, and decimals using a conversion chart.

•

Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints and using precision measuring tools such as dial and vernier calipers.

•

Knowledge of structural steel sizing, various steel grades, and their applications.

•

Ability to follow safe operating, lifting, and maintenance procedures, with awareness of load limits.

•

Ability to obtain and maintain required training certifications.
