Title: ITW Operator – Induction Tempered Wire (ITW) Production

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

NAC Operators will process and produce high quality induction tempered steel wire coils.

Let’s explain, NAC is a Tier 2 Supplier and does not manufacture parts or springs but processes the steel wire coils. The process draws the raw material on the Draw Line to the required size based on customer spec and will then heat treat to provide strength and pliability on the Heat Line.

Example 2,000 kg coil (estimated)

FINISHED PRODUCT

Example 5 stacked 2,000 kg coil (estimated)

NAC Customers will make suspension springs primarily for the automotive industry.

WHAT IS NEEDED FOR THIS POSITION?

Safety awareness, mechanical ability, organizational skills, , attention to detail, eye/hand coordination and ability to fill out daily paperwork accurately. Ability to lift 50 lbs. (not repetitively). Standing, walking, and bending are required for complete shift schedule.

General Machine Operation, Forklift Operation, Overhead Crane Operation, Visual Inspection, Calipers and Micrometers. If you have these skills it can be helpful, NAC will train 100%.

MATERIAL PREPARATION

- Pointing raw material

- Installing raw material/drawn material into machine

- Banding product coil on winder

- Moving product coil from winder to storage

- Moving non-conforming materials to non-conforming area

- Operation of fork truck, pallet jack and overhead crane

5-S Duties

CLEANING OF PRODUCTION AREA

- Perform daily cleaning according to 5S plan and/or instruction from supervisor

- Cutting and disposal of scrap materials

- Removal of garbage

OTHER

Various job tasks may be assigned by supervisor or manager as applicable
