Machine Operator - 3rd Shift - 11 p.m. - 7 a.m.

Multiwire Machine

Duties and Responsibilities

- The operator prepares all materials and drawing dies by performing the necessary machine setup and performing basic measurement control.

- Runs machine by loading rod material and semi-end production to the machine by following machine work instructions and company safety procedures.

- Perform quality checks and inform the process manager of defects as necessary.

- Keep the machine and work area clean by stacking empty and unused spools in the empty area.

- Make process adjustments with the technician and manager if end-production fails laboratory tests.

- Check the lab results of previous production and work successfully under all quality and productivity rules, making suggestions about quality, process, and productivity when necessary.

- Perform daily machine maintenance, making careful use of all energy sources.

- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- 1+ years' experience running a machine

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently throughout the day

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Forklift Experience Preferred

- Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred

- Must be able to stand, walk, lift, use hand tools for at least 8 hours per day

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is generally loud. The employee is occasionally required to work near moving mechanical parts and work in high, precarious places. Proper PPE is provided. Steel toe shoes are required.
