Lowboy Class A Driver

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Lowboy Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operating lowboy and other heavy equipment on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Lowboy Driver will be responsible for transporting materials to and from job sites while ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Duties

- Operate lowboy to transport equipment / oversized such as dozer, excavator, grader, loader, backhoe, off road dump, and other construction equipment to designated locations.

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.

- Competent in load securement requirements.

- Collaborate with construction teams to understand construction equipment needs and delivery schedules.

- Load and unload equipment using various heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, backhoes, and dozers.

- Maintain accurate logs of hours worked, materials transported, and any incidents that occur during operation.

- Adhere to all safety protocols while operating heavy machinery on construction sites.

- Assist in minor mechanical repairs and maintenance of the truck/trailer as needed.

Qualifications

- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL-A) with a clean driving record.

- Ability to drive manual transmission - no automatic restriction

- Proven experience in commercial driving and heavy equipment operation, specifically with dump trucks.

- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety practices.

- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on vehicles and equipment.

- Experience operating various types of heavy machinery including excavators, loaders, backhoes, dozers, graders, and horizontal drilling equipment is preferred.

- Ability to work long hours in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and efficiency.

Requirements

- Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens

- Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify

- Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results

- Valid driver's license with clean driving record is preferred

- Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test
