Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Semi, Hot Shot, Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operating trucks and other heavy equipment on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting materials to and from job sites while ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
- Operate trucks / dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, sand, asphalt, other construction materials, and equipment to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with construction teams to understand material needs and delivery schedules.
- Load and unload materials using various heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, backhoes, and dozers.
- Maintain accurate logs of hours worked, materials transported, and any incidents that occur during operation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while operating heavy machinery on construction sites.
- Assist in minor mechanical repairs and maintenance of the dump truck as needed.
- Operate additional equipment such as skid steer, telehandler, excavator, when required for loading / unloading.
- Load Securement proficient, equipment chain, materials strap and chain.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL A) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to drive manual transmission (No Automatic Restriction)
- Proven experience in commercial driving and heavy equipment operation, specifically with dump trucks, flat bed, and hot shot.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety practices.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
- Experience operating various types of heavy machinery including excavators, loaders, backhoes, and dozers is preferred.
- Ability to work long hours in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and efficiency.
