The Role

Own safe, code-compliant smart panel installs, panel swaps, and service upgrades. You’ll commission systems, map circuits, set load priorities, and help refine our field playbook as we scale.

What You’ll Do

- Swap/upgrade main & sub-panels (100–200A+) with clean routing, labeling, and documentation

- Install smart panels/load controllers, CTs/sensors; perform breaker/circuit mapping in the commissioning app

- Configure load management (priorities, shedding, demand limits) and coordinate EV charging without overloading service

- Set up networking for commissioning (Ethernet/Wi-Fi, DHCP/static), enroll devices to cloud, apply firmware updates

- Install SPDs, AFCI/GFCI protection; add ATS/manual transfer where needed; produce as-builts

- Troubleshoot nuisance trips, phasing/neutral issues, CT orientation, EMI/noise, and ghost loads

- Manage permits/inspections with Technical Safety BC & municipalities; keep sites safe, tidy, and inspection-ready

- Write SOPs that make repeatable, high-quality installs; mentor apprentices/juniors

What You Bring

- Red Seal Journeyperson

- 3+ years residential service/reno or light commercial

- Comfortable with service upgrades, neat workmanship, and precise documentation

- Read SLDs/schematics; strong troubleshooting discipline and safety mindset

- Class 5 driver’s licence; able to lift/carry and work on ladders

Nice-to-Haves FSR B/A, commissioning-app experience, basic IP networking, RS-485/Modbus, EVSE installs

Hours, Pay & Perks

- Full-time, Mon–Fri (occasional evening/weekend cutovers)

- $40–$50/hr base (up to $55/hr with FSR/lead) + extended health/dental/vision

- Quality tools, training/cert support, and a clear path to Lead/FSR

- Company vehicle or mileage program (role-dependent)

Location

Field work across Metro Vancouver & the Lower Mainland; staging from our Vancouver-area workspace
