At EPCOR, we believe learning is key to building a safe, skilled, and future‑ready workforce. As a Learning & Development Intern, you’ll support the development and enhancement of technical training curriculum and learning products used across the organization.
This full‑time, paid summer internship provides hands‑on exposure to instructional design, curriculum development, and learning technologies. Working alongside experienced Learning & Development professionals and subject matter experts, you’ll help create engaging learning materials while gaining practical experience applying adult learning principles and instructional design best practices.
Internship Dates: June 1, 2026 – August 7, 2026
- Assist with developing and updating learning materials, programs, and curriculum for a variety of audiences
- Support the redesign of learning products using modern delivery methods such as eLearning, blended learning, videos, graphics, and job aids
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and Learning & Development team members to translate learning requirements into appropriate training solutions
- Help present technical information in clear, audience‑appropriate formats
- Assist with editing, formatting, and reviewing learning content to align with standards and company branding
- Support uploading training materials into the learning management system (LMS) and assigning required courses
- Assist with tracking training completion and generating basic reports as needed
- Apply adult learning principles and instructional design best practices with guidance from mentors
- Follow safety guidelines and contribute to a safe, professional work environment
- Support other projects and responsibilities as requested
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Design, Media, Communications, Training Development, Health & Safety, Adult Learning, or related program
- Interest in learning about instructional design, training development, and corporate learning programs
- Basic understanding of instructional design concepts or learning technologies, or willingness to learn
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with eLearning or design tools such as Articulate or Adobe Creative Suite is an asset
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and subject matter experts
- Professionalism, reliability, and enthusiasm for learning and skill development
