Lead Residential Solar Installer

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, construction, and experience with solar panel installation. This role involves working on residential, ensuring that solar systems are installed efficiently and safely. The Solar Installer will collaborate with a team to deliver high-quality installations while adhering to safety standards and regulations.

Duties

- Install solar panels and associated equipment on rooftops and other structures.

- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine installation requirements.

- Work with high voltage and low voltage systems, ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).

- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and forklifts safely and effectively during installations.

- Perform fixture installation, including electrical connections and plumbing as needed.

- Conduct routine maintenance checks on installed systems to ensure optimal performance.

- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining high safety standards.

- Assist in training new team members on installation techniques and safety protocols.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a commercial electrician or in a similar role within the construction industry.

- Strong understanding of electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage components.

- Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety practices.

- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.

- Experience with roofing techniques related to solar panel installation is preferred.

- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and forklifts safely.

- Previous construction site experience is essential for navigating job sites effectively.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $33.00 per hour
