Lead QC Receiving Inspector

•

Work requires professional written and verbal communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

•

Bilingual abilities in Spanish preferred, but not required. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.

•

Above all must be a team player with a high level of dedication.

2 years working knowledge of receiving ASTM materials required.

•

Must be able to stand/walk up to 90% of the workday; sit to perform normal office duties for up to 50% of the workday, occasional bending, squatting, ascending ladders/stairways.

Typical Functions

•

Inspects incoming materials by first performing a visual inspection of materials, components, and products received from suppliers and vendors.

•

Verifies accompanying documentation such as packing slips.

•

Counts all material to verify that the number of each product delivered matches the accompanying documentation.

•

Identifies any deliveries where there are non-conformities between packing slips and number of items delivered.

•

Communicates any supplier issues to relevant departments, such as purchasing, production, and quality assurance to facilitate timely decision-making and corrective actions.

•

Marks all materials delivered by adhering stickers and color coding for ease of finding and using at a later time and so that no further labeling is required.

•

After all materials have been color coded and labeled, the Inspector then releases them to the Warehouse.

•

Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance receiving inspection processes, efficiency, and effectiveness, and contributes to overall quality improvement efforts.

•

Other duties as assigned.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
