We are looking for a Warehouse Lead to join our team and help to drive the growth of Charge Solar and the industry as a whole. Location: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia
Reports to: National Logistics Manager
Primary Outcome:
•Ensure that Charge Solar remains the leader in customer experience from order to shipment for solar installers across Canada.
Primary Responsibilities:
•Manage all receiving, warehousing and distribution operations for the location.
•Manage warehouse in compliance with company policies and procedures.
•Develop and implement warehouse policies, procedures and operational guidelines to ensure safe and efficient warehouse operations.
•Ensure the safe and effective use of warehouse equipment.
•Ensure the safety of staff and customers.
•Maintain documentation and keep accurate records with respect to all warehouse management activities, including, but not limited to facility maintenance, company assets, etc.
•Manage facility maintenance, repairs, and housekeeping activities, ensuring cleanliness, orderliness, and compliance with policies, regulations and industry standards.
•Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key business partners across Leadership, Supply Chain, Logistics, Sales, and Accounting.
•Collaborate with operational peers to coordinate inventory planning, internal stock transfers, order processing, and customer delivery requirements to meet business objectives.
•Review the shipping queue daily, and action accordingly, to ensure that items are dispatched on their requested dates.
•Maintain strong, positive relationships with all approved carrier vendors.
•Ensure timely and accurate communication with internal teams and vendors to support efficient logistics operations.
•Identify areas of improvement and establish, or update existing work procedures and practices, in shipping and logistics to enhance overall efficiency and customer satisfaction.
•Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the ERP system.
•Provide superior customer service and maintain clear, effective communication with all internal and external stakeholders.
•Resolve customer inquiries, complaints, or issues related to warehouse operations, delivery delays, or damaged goods, ensuring prompt resolution and customer satisfaction.
•Assist in other operational areas where required.
•Other tasks as deemed necessary.
Required Qualifications:
•Minimum of 3+ years warehouse management experience.
•Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures.
•Proficient knowledge of warehouse operations, and inventory management principles.
•Ability to operate forklifts and all warehouse equipment effectively and safely.
•Proficiency in ERP systems and solid knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
•Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
•Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload based on business needs in a fast-paced environment.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with both customers and internal stakeholders.
•Team-oriented mindset with the flexibility to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing business needs.
•Experience in the solar, renewable energy, or related industry would be an asset.
•Available to work extended hours on occasion.
Desired Qualifications:
•Experience in solar, renewables, or energy an asset.
•Experience in a Distribution Company.
