Job Overview: Tuxedo Yard Care is hiring an experienced Small Engine Mechanic to lead our shop operations. If you excel at diagnosing and repairing small engines, maintaining landscaping equipment, and supervising a busy shop, this role is for you!
Schedule: Monday – Thursday (1:00 PM - 9:00 PM), Friday (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM).

Key Responsibilities:
•
Diagnose and repair small engine and vehicle issues.
•
Maintain and service mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, and landscaping tools.
•
Oversee shop operations, including opening/closing procedures.
•
Transport tools and equipment as needed.
•
Ensure all vehicles and equipment are secure at the end of each shift.
•
Foster a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
•
Prior experience as a Small Engine Mechanic, Automotive Technician, or Equipment Repair Specialist.
•
Strong knowledge of small engines, Ford vehicles, and routine vehicle maintenance (oil changes, brakes, tire repairs, etc.).
•
Proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and mechanical troubleshooting.
•
Basic handyman skills and math proficiency (measuring, calculations, etc.).
•
Experience with Office 365 for tracking maintenance records.
•
High school diploma or equivalent.
•
Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
•
Must pass a background check and drug screening.
•
Reliable and responsible for nightly closing duties.
