ES3 Minerals is a thriving mineral buyer actively acquiring minerals, royalties, and leasehold interests primarily in Texas. We are growing our land department and accepting resumes for an opening in ES3’s Austin office for land professionals.
The ideal candidate will possess strong title experience complemented by a demonstrated aptitude for business development. This role requires an individual who is comfortable representing the company in professional settings, actively attending industry functions, and cultivating meaningful relationships across the sector. The successful applicant will excel in both technical landwork and the interpersonal engagement necessary to expand ES3 Minerals’ network and identify new opportunities.
- Responsible for conducting day-to-day business with sellers and serve as the primary contact for seller related issues (including frequent phone calls and occasional in-person communications)
- Review and draft deeds for ES3’s acquisition of various interests
- Communicate with sellers and operators regarding curative requirements prior to closing
- Manage and oversee the company's mineral portfolio, including verification of ownership interests prior to executing division orders and verification of tax statements
- Assist ES3 with due diligence process in acquisitions and/or divestitures, including title examination, lease analysis, and curative
- Other duties and responsibilities as determined by management
- A minimum of 5 years' experience working as a landman, division order analyst, or related field.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexible with changing priorities depending on land projects
- Hands-on experience in most phases of Land Department functions
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Experience in drafting and negotiating Purchase and Sale Agreements, leasing, or business development preferred
- Registered Professional Landman preferred
