About This Job
The Role:
As a Business Development Executive, your primary focus will be on growing our buyer and seller network, driving marketplace transactions, and establishing long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders in the oil and gas industry. You’ll be instrumental in showcasing the value of Energy Domain Marketplace and identifying opportunities for buyers to leverage the platform to meet their strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Marketplace Team to identify and engage with qualified buyers and sellers in the oil and gas
sector.
- Build and nurture strong relationships, understanding their acquisition and divestiture criteria and aligning our
offerings with their needs.
- Drive business growth by actively promoting marketplace opportunities and executing targeted outreach strategies.
- Deliver compelling presentations to prospective buyers and sellers, highlighting the marketplace’s value proposition and deal flow opportunities.
- Assist in deal analysis, research, and data compilation to support sales strategies.
- Some travel is required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
What We’re Looking For:
- Sales-driven mindset with a preference for 5-10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry or business development (minimum 2-3 years).
- Strong understanding of land and oil & gas property types (minerals, non-op interests, AFEs, leaseholds, etc.).
- Ability to build rapport quickly and manage client relationships.
- Excellent communication skills, with the
ability to clearly articulate value propositions.
- A proactive, results-oriented approach,
with a passion for closing deals and achieving targets.
- A&D experience is a plus but not required.
