We are looking for a motivated and reliable non-ferrous receiver to join our non-ferrous metals department at our Granby site. You will play a crucial role in supporting the overall operations of our site. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and a strong work ethic.
- Sorting different types of non-ferrous metals;
- Classifying non-ferrous materials and determining the type of material;
- Weighing materials;
- Operating a forklift;
- Performing daily maintenance;
- Carrying out general site maintenance;
- Maintaining assets and equipment in good condition;
- Cleaning your work area at the end of the shift;
- Entering data into the RECY system;
- Offering prices to customers;
- Providing excellent customer service;
- Assisting with torch cutting when required;
- Preparing shipments and receiving materials;
- Wearing personal protective equipment.
- You have experience operating a forklift (an asset);
- You have experience in metal recycling (an asset);
- You have good knowledge of metals (an asset);
- You are able to work in a dusty environment;
- You are able to work outdoors in both good and bad weather;
- You are in good physical condition;
- You like working safely;
- You are responsible and resourceful;
