Position Overview

JGM is looking for a reliable, hardworking Laborer to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to start a career in construction, learn hands-on skills, and work alongside experienced professionals on real job sites.

What You’ll Do

As a Laborer at JGM, you’ll support our crews by:

- Assisting skilled tradespeople with daily tasks

- Loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment

- Preparing job sites by cleaning, organizing, and removing hazards

- Setting up and taking down ladders, scaffolding, and temporary structures

- Following directions from supervisors and working as part of a team

- Learning to safely use hand and power tools

- Helping maintain tools and equipment

- Following all safety rules to keep yourself and your coworkers safe

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

- Reliable and ready to work

- Comfortable with physical, hands-on work

- Willing to learn new skills and take direction

- A good team player with a positive attitude

- Able to work outdoors in different weather conditions

- Able to lift and move materials safely

Preferred, but not required:

- Previous construction, labor, landscaping, warehouse, or similar experience

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

- Perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, lifting, reaching, and climbing

- Safely lift and move up to 100 pounds with proper technique

- Use common construction tools such as drills, saws, wrenches, hammers, and levels

- Work on ladders, elevated platforms, and job sites when properly trained

- Work outdoors in all weather conditions

- Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection

- Maintain awareness of surroundings to identify and avoid hazards
