Job Description

FLSA Classification: Laborer

Overtime Status: Non- Exempt

Braen Stone Industries, the leading supplier of construction materials including stone, sand, asphalt, septic materials, recycled materials and agricultural limestone, is currently seeking a Laborer for our Haledon quarry.

We are a safety minded company and expect the successful candidate to be as well. This position is hourly, non-exempt from overtime. Overtime is paid after 8 hours are worked each day. After a probationary period of sixty (60) days, the employee will be required to join Local #472. Medical/Dental/Vision benefits are provided through Local #472 after Union waiting period is satisfied.

Expectations:

- Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks

- Will be cross trained to operate equipment

- Daily maintenance of the quarry

- Small powered equipment like a skid steer may be used at times

Complete miscellaneous jobs according to business needs

Required Knowledge/Skills/Aptitudes:

- Ability to establish effective working relationships with fellow employees and supervisors

Must be safety minded

Physical Demands:

- Standing for long periods of time, bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, crouch/crawl

- Routine pushing/pulling when operating hand controls

- Minimal to light level of lifting is occasionally required

- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time

Climb steps and perform manual activity for long periods of time

Travel: This position is based in Haledon, NJ

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

- Hours of work are generally 6am to 6pm Monday through Friday (subject to change)

Saturday work will be required

Pay: $25.85 -$26.85/ Hour
