We are seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman Electrician to join our team. This role is ideal for a licensed professional with hands-on experience in the electrical trade who can perform electrical work independently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems on construction and/or service sites, as well as interpreting blueprints and electrical codes. The ability to work efficiently, mentor apprentices when needed, and ensure all work meets local and national electrical standards is essential for success in this role.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in accordance with local and national electrical codes
- Work independently to complete electrical tasks while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
- Plan daily job activities and assist with job scheduling to meet project timelines
- Coordinate material and equipment needs to ensure efficient workflow and minimal downtime
- Supervise, train, and mentor Apprentice Electricians, assigning tasks and ensuring work is performed safely and correctly
- Inspect apprentice work for quality, accuracy, and code compliance
- Communicate effectively with project managers, supervisors, and other trades on the jobsite
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Identify and resolve on-site issues to keep projects on schedule
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license (as required by state or local regulations)
- Proven experience performing electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Experience planning work activities, material requirements, and jobsite workflow
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, train, and mentor Apprentice Electricians
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of electrical tools, equipment, and testing devices
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all safety procedures
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, and working in various environments
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites as required
