Journeyman Electrician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial and commercial electrical systems, with a strong background in NEC standards, blueprint reading, and schematic interpretation. This role involves performing electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs on various construction and renovation projects, ensuring safety and compliance at all times. Candidates should possess proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and low/high voltage systems. Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage wiring, and high voltage systems is highly desirable. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects including construction sites, renovations, and industrial facilities.

Duties

- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and construction environments

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately

- Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters

- Work with low voltage and high voltage systems in accordance with NEC standards

- Install programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components

- Use hand tools and power tools safely to complete wiring, conduit installation, and equipment setup

- Perform renovation tasks including framing carpentry and handyman repairs as needed

- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and electrical codes

- Assist in the planning and execution of construction site activities related to electrical systems

- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed for project records

Qualifications

- Valid Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification

- Proven industrial electrician experience with a solid understanding of NEC standards

- Commercial electrician experience preferred

- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical diagrams

- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low/high voltage wiring

- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment

- Construction site experience including renovation projects is highly desirable

- Ability to work safely in high voltage environments while adhering to safety protocols

- Experience with framing carpentry or handyman tasks is a plus

- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.70 - $36.97 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
