Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on, adaptable IT Systems Specialist to support and manage the technology infrastructure across three manufacturing facilities. This role involves maintaining hardware and software systems, managing user access and security, providing help desk support, troubleshooting network and device issues, and working with production-related IT systems such as ERP, server environments, and industrial software. The ideal candidate is resourceful, proactive, and comfortable in both office and production floor settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems Integration & Monitoring
•Support the M1 ERP system and related SQL Server integrations (e.g., forms, queries, backups).
•Configure reports and build out Dashboards.
•Work with departments (laser, welding, powder coat, shipping, etc.) to troubleshoot connectivity with machines or software tools.
•Monitor server performance and system health; assist with backups, patching, and log reviews.
User Support & System Administration
•Provide Tier 1–2 support to users for hardware, software, printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
•Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and security groups using Active Directory and Server Manager.
•Administer login scripts, file shares, and group policies.
Hardware & Software Maintenance
•Install, configure, and maintain Windows-based desktops, laptops, and production equipment computers.
•Maintain IT inventory and manage hardware replacements or upgrades.
•Coordinate with vendors for repairs or support for specialized equipment like laser cutting controllers or industrial PCs.
•Support software installs and updates including antivirus (e.g., McAfee) management and exceptions for production software.
Networking & Connectivity
•Basic administration of LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, and VPN configurations.
•Troubleshoot network connectivity issues between users, printers, and equipment.
•Assign static and dynamic IP addresses as needed and assist with firewall access (e.g., FortiGate, local router config).
•Ensure Wi-Fi and Ethernet coverage is stable across all facilities.
Facility & Infrastructure Support
•Ensure uptime and functionality of IT-dependent production systems.
•Help integrate systems for communication and workflow between sites (e.g., job traveler scanning, label printing).
•Manage local NAS devices, basic switch configuration, and facility-specific IT needs.
Qualifications:
•Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
•3+ years of experience in IT support or systems administration, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
•Scripting or query knowledge (VBScript, SQL).
•Experience in ERP systems such as M1.
•Power BI and other reporting software.
•Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Office 365 administration.
•Familiarity with networking concepts and tools (TCP/IP, ping, DHCP, DNS, VPN).
•Hands-on, customer-service oriented mindset with strong problem-solving ability.
