The IT Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining the organization's technology infrastructure and ensuring smooth operations across various IT-related tasks. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments to support business functions.
1.Help Desk Support: Create, manage, and resolve help desk tickets, ensuring timely responses and resolutions for users experiencing technical issues. Working closely with our external consultants.
2.Hardware Management: Oversee open and new hardware requests, ensuring proper allocation and setup of devices. Maintain an inventory of IT assets and initiate hardware procurement as needed.
3.Procurement & Quoting: Submit quotes for new computers and IT-related equipment to ensure cost-effective and high-quality acquisitions. Purchasing & managing Apple devices items based off our standards.
4.IT Supplies Management: Track and manage IT consumables, accessories, and replacement parts, ensuring stock availability and replenishment when needed.
5.Security Oversight: Maintain office and warehouse security systems/fobs, including access controls, surveillance equipment, and alarm systems. Coordinate maintenance and security updates.
6.Software & System Administration: Oversee various software platforms, ensuring proper configuration, licensing, and updates. Assist users with troubleshooting software-related issues.
7.IT Security Training Compliance: Follow up on overdue IT security training, ensuring employees complete mandatory courses and adhere to best practices for cybersecurity.
8.Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned, including participation in IT projects, process improvements, and supporting company-wide technology initiatives.
9.Researching new potential software options based off business needs.
1.Financial Approvals: The IT Specialist may research and submit quotes for hardware and IT purchases, but would generally need approval from management or finance before finalizing purchases.
2.Security Access: While responsible for managing office and warehouse security systems, the IT Specialist may not have unrestricted access to modify security protocols without leadership oversight.
3.Software & System Changes: Can oversee various software platforms, but will need approval from IT leadership before implementing significant system-wide changes or purchasing new software.

3. Manages IT supplies, reducing waste and preventing unnecessary expenses.

4.Knowledge of software management, security protocols, and compliance requirements.
6.Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams.
7. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or computer engineering is preferred.
