Position Title: IT Systems Administrator

This role spans all areas of technology, including but not limited to: Windows 10/11 client computing, Active Directory administration, Microsoft 365 and Azure, disaster recovery, network configuration, server maintenance, premise wiring, access control, mobile device management, and IT security. To succeed in this role, you will be required to bring a strong client computing support background, enjoy learning new skills and technologies, and provide strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure the department is continually delivering value to the organization.
Principal Responsibilities:
•Interact with business users to resolve technology problems and meet technology needs
•Provide in-person and remote support across all technologies and supported platforms
•Work through a helpdesk queue; respond to and resolve requests in a timely manner
•Onboard/offboard employees in accordance with company policies and procedures
•Deploy PCs and mobile devices and install applications for end users as required
•Maintain accurate records of deployed IT assets
•Leverage available IT tools and reporting to deploy software, updates/patches, and identify and remediate vulnerabilities
•Assist with implementation and/or integration of new technologies and systems
•Ensure proper function of core IT infrastructure & networking equipment, perform upgrades and repairs as necessary
•Analyze current IT processes and procedures and suggest improvements where applicable
•Support maintenance efforts and outage issues, which may require occasional after-hours or weekend work
Compensation & Benefits:
•Salary: $65-$80k (commensurate with prior experience)

Requirements:
Required qualifications:
•2-5 years of prior experience, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certifications from Microsoft (MCP/MCSA/MCSE equivalent) and/or CompTIA (A+/Net+) are favored
•Strong interpersonal skills, including a professional and pleasant demeanor
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Must be able to spell, use correct grammar and punctuation, and compose meaningful correspondence to users and co-workers
•Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a willingness to travel to and from various office locations primarily throughout the Metro-Detroit area. (Mileage reimbursed at the federal rate)
•Demonstrated experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows 10/11 clients
•Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Windows Server (2019+) and Microsoft 365 technologies (Active Directory[JM1] /Group Policy, NTFS permissions/SMB file sharing, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra ID & Azure SSO, Exchange Online, etc.)
•Prior experience leveraging MDM/endpoint management platforms
•Demonstrated experience supporting and administering Microsoft SharePoint Online/OneDrive.
•Demonstrated experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages
•Strong foundational knowledge of network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, access points, SDWAN concepts, core networking protocols/services such as DHCP/DNS/TCP/UDP, VLANs, and other L2/L3 network concepts)
Desirable qualifications/experience/skills:
•Management of backup solutions (Veeam & Azure Recovery service vaults)
•Experience utilizing Atlassian products (Jira/Confluence)
•Premise wiring experience (Ethernet cabling & termination, PoE/low voltage wiring, security cameras etc.)
•Experience with any of the following Microsoft products/services: Power Platform (Power BI / Power Automate / Power Apps), Hyper-V, SQL Server, Microsoft IIS, RemoteApps & Remote Desktop, Intune, and Defender security products.
