Primary Function: The Support Technician provides first-level technical support for all users across the organization. This position is responsible for resolving help desk tickets, assisting with hardware and software troubleshooting, supporting basic networking tasks, and escalating issues as needed. The IT Support Technician works under the supervision of the IT Manager.
· Respond to and resolve Tier 1 IT support tickets (in-person, phone, and email).
· Troubleshoot and support hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals).
· Install, configure, and support basic software applications.
· Assist with user account management (password resets, permissions).
· Provide support for Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
· Perform basic networking troubleshooting (wired/wireless connectivity, printers).
· Maintain accurate records of issues and resolutions in the ticketing system.
· Set up and deploy new workstations and equipment.
· Escalate complex issues to the IT Manager as needed.
· Provide friendly, professional customer service to all employees.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or technical certification (CompTIA A+, etc.) preferred. 2 to 4 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
To perform this job successfully the candidate should have experience in customer service and the ability to function well on a team. The candidate should possess working knowledge of the following:
· Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and support.
· Understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking fundamentals.
· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively verbally communicate throughout all levels of the organization.

The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; climb and balance. The employee will occasionally be required to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet – typical of what is generally found in an office setting. The employee will occasionally find it necessary to enter a manufacturing environment. The manufacturing environment is typical of that type of setting – employees may be exposed to inclement weather, loud noises, tripping hazards; and there may be exposure to sparks, welding arc, open flame, and moving equipment.
