Primary Purpose:
This position is designed to provide support of technology services for Eanes Independent School District. The Systems Administrator works under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Operations & Technology to administer various data center infrastructure systems, servers and applications to support approximately 9400 users. The candidate is expected to have a strong background in working with multiple enterprise technologies while being able to image, install, maintain, and upgrade all aspects of servers, computers, storage, network, backup, and user account management systems.
Education/Certification
Required Qualifications:
•Associates Degree or Technical Certification from accredited institutions
•Strong technical, communication, and customer service skills
•Proficient with Enterprise Infrastructure systems
Preferred Qualifications:
•Bachelors Degree or Technical Certification from an accredited institution
•Microsoft Certified Professional
•VMware Certified Professional
Experience
•3 - 5 years of recent full-time work administering and supporting the following datacenter technologies:
oVirtual (VMware preferred) and physical server infrastructures
oEnterprise NAS and SAN storage systems
oNetwork and cybersecurity infrastructure and solutions
oEnterprise backup systems (Commvault preferred)
oMicrosoft and Linux Server operating systems
Licenses
Class “C” Operator’s Driver License. The applicant selected must provide a current three-year Driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver’s license within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•G-Suite and Microsoft O365 Tenants
•NAS / SAN storage, server, and network infrastructures and systems
•Identity and Access Management systems
•Microsoft Server OS 2016 including Active Directory and File Services roles
•Commvault or equivalent backup software
•Experience in creating and imaging Windows devices
•iPad, PC and Mac computers with modern operating systems
•Microsoft Office and enterprise applications
•Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
•Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
•Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks/workload, work independently and under pressure

Major Responsibilities, Duties and Functions:
•Install, administer, maintain, and upgrade network, server, and storage systems.
•Implement data center infrastructure and systems as directed.
•Develop and update images for Windows computers.
•Create and maintain upgrade and maintenance schedules on all systems.
•Create and maintain reference documentation on all systems and processes
•Maintain life cycles for server, storage, and network systems.
•Monitor systems for performance and possible hardware failure, overload, etc.
•Actively protect servers from accidental and intentional damage that can be caused by internal or external users.
•Maximize uptime for systems and minimize interruptions of service, whether planned or unplanned.
•Administer, maintain, and upgrade Identity and Access Management systems and insure synchronization between Active Directory, G-Suite, and O365.
•Schedule and verify backup of data; coordinate tape deposit to off-site storage facility on regular monthly schedule.
•Provision and administer user accounts; administer automation for IDAM, and textbook resources.
•Assists with CIPA compliance
•Pursue personal development of knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for the effective performance of the role.
•Maintain professional and consistent regular attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health & safety procedures.
•Establish and maintain professional working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and the general public.

•Oversight of staff involved in networking and infrastructure projects
