P&D is a 100%-employee-owned engineering firm that has been proudly serving our electric utility clients since 1947. Our subsidiary, HP&D, provides testing and commissioning services to data center and mission critical facilities across the country and around the world.
We are seeking a capable, experienced, and service-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our team at our corporate office in Norcross, GA. This person will report directly to the IT Manager, and will support the company’s information systems, and provide technical assistance and training to employees in the corporate and regional offices.
The specialist will use strong customer service and troubleshooting skills while working independently to solve problems, assist users, and manage and maintain the following:
•Servers, desktop and laptop systems, mobile and network devices, printers, and their applications
•User account creation and new hire orientation
•Ethernet, LAN, and WAN connectivity
•VPN connections between remote users and offices
•Network printer and plotter maintenance
•Corporate Teams phone system
•Office 365 administration
•Manage carrier services for phone and internet access
Additionally, the specialist will work closely with the IT Manager to:
•Develop and implement strategies for information management, data security and control, strategic computing, and disaster recovery
•Manage backup, security, and user help systems
•Develop organizational goals, policies, and procedures
Desired Skills and Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or similar field) and/or CompTIA A+ (or equivalent) is preferred
•2+ years of network, systems and software related experience required
•2+ years of hands-on end user support in a multi-office setting
•Proven familiarity with hardware and software troubleshooting hosted on:
•Windows Server 2016 & 2019
•Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra, and Azure
•A solid understanding of file management: NASs, SMB shares, etc.
•Understanding of networking fundamentals
•Familiarity with the following is desired:
•Office 365 and Azure Administration
•Veeam Cloud for Microsoft 365
•Office 365 SharePoint planning, setup, user adoption, and training
•Network hardware such as switches, APs, cabling, conference AV systems
•Excellent communication skills
•Service-oriented attitude
•Effective problem-solving skills

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
