IT Manager

The IT Manager will be a hands-on, onsite technical leader responsible for keeping our systems, networks, and users running smoothly while strengthening our cybersecurity and cloud environments. This role includes troubleshooting issues for staff, maintaining servers, workstations, and network equipment, managing key IT vendors, and supporting core platforms such as Microsoft 365, ERP, security, backup, and reporting tools. The IT Manager will also help shape IT policies, maintain our website and security systems, and partner with the Director of Finance & Administration to identify and implement practical AI solutions that improve how we work.

Primary responsibilities include:

· Troubleshooting technology issues for staff related to both computer & mobile devices

· Planning & performing hardware lifecycle replacements in line with industry standards & company policy

· Organizing & performing system upgrades & maintenance

· Monitoring & improving cybersecurity posture, including patching, backups, & endpoint/network protections

· Maintaining server/network racks, monitoring internet connectivity & overseeing cloud-based environments

· Building/maintaining workstations in both the office & the shop – Laptops & peripherals

· Assisting in defining & implementing IT policies

· Owning & managing key IT vendor relationships

· Maintaining the company’s website, on-site cameras & security gate systems

· Working with Director of Finance & Administration to seek out & implement AI solutions where appropriate

· Other duties as assigned

Key skill requirements include:

· Ability to diagnose both hardware & software issues & resolve issues independently or in conjunction with vendors

· Working primarily on premises in West Fargo; some travel within Fargo metro area may be required

· Patience when working with individuals that are not comfortable leveraging technology

· Adept at learning new skills & hardware/software independently

· Strong written and verbal communication & listening skills

· 5+ years’ experience in the IT field; associates or bachelor’s degree in IT related field preferred but not required

· Microsoft 365 including Microsoft Azure

· ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system support experience

· TrueNAS (or similar back-up file storage solution)

· NinjaOne (or similar unified endpoint management solution)

· SentinelOne (or similar cyber security solution)

· ThreatLocker (or similar endpoint security solution)

· Mimecast (or similar email protection solution)

· Fortinet (or similar firewall or network security solution)

· Power BI (or similar reporting solution)

· Asset Panda (or similar asset management solution)

· Box (or similar cloud-based file sharing solution)

Job Type: Full-time (Monday through Friday)

Work Location: West Fargo, ND – Primarily on-site with some remote work flexibility as needed

Salary: $95,000 - $110,000 depending on experience plus an annual performance bonus

Reporting Structure: Report to the Director of Finance & Administration

Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
