As the IT Manager at American Centrifuge Operations (ACO) in Oak Ridge, TN, you’ll oversee the systems and people that keep our cutting-edge manufacturing operations running—seamlessly, securely, and efficiently. From ERP and MES support in a classified environment to driving digital transformation projects, you’ll shape the site’s IT strategy, mentor a talented team, and ensure our technology not only supports but accelerates our mission.
You’ll be the on-site IT leader for Oak Ridge, guiding daily operations, long-term planning, and everything in between. You’ll manage ERP and MES support, ensure compliance with cybersecurity regulations (NIST 800-171, 800-53), and partner with corporate peers to align site initiatives with enterprise IT standards. You’ll lead projects ranging from system upgrades to automation and digital transformation efforts, always keeping security and efficiency top of mind. You’ll also manage budgets, mentor staff, strengthen vendor and customer relationships, and represent IT at site leadership meetings—making sure IT is seen as a driver of innovation, not just support.
We’d Love to Hear from People With:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) - 5+ Years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated success in managing IT budgets, staffing, and resources to meet both short- and long-term objectives
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and build cohesive IT teams
- Strong knowledge of:
- ERP & MES systems in a manufacturing environment
- Cybersecurity regulations and best practices (especially NIST frameworks)
- Automation technologies and digital transformation initiatives
- Desktop, server, network, and telecom architectures in complex environments
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt quickly, reprioritize, and keep IT aligned with evolving business needs
Ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” security clearance- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- Professional certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or CMM
- Experience leading IT in a classified or regulated environment
Demonstrated success in cross-department collaboration and vendor management
