Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of inventory management processes, supporting production planning, and maintaining optimal stock levels. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in supply chain management and be proficient in inventory control systems.
Responsibilities
•Typical responsibilities and operations are as follows:
Receiving & Inspection:
•Unload delivery trucks and inspect incoming materials.
•Document and report any damage or discrepancies for rejection.
•Combine incoming materials with matching existing stock.
•Create stock areas for new incoming material types as needed.
•Accurately record incoming inventory and enter it into an Excel spreadsheet.
Inventory Control:
•Maintain and monitor inventory levels.
•Communicate and deliver raw materials to different departments.
•Retrieve leftover material to be re-inventoried.
•Retrieve damaged or out of spec materials to be returned to the manufacturer.
•Coordinate rejected material returns between departments and the project managers.
•Ensure that rejected material is properly bundled and load them for return.
•Reconcile leftover materials from jobs into storage and maintain the inventory until it is no longer needed
Yard Operations & Safety:
•Keep the inventory area clean, safe, and organized at all times.
•Ensure all inventory is safely stacked and accessible
•Ensure equipment is properly maintained and in good operational function.
•Follow safety protocols and report any hazards or issues immediately.
The ideal candidate is required to have or meet ALL of the following qualifications and conditions:
•Proficiency with a 4-way multi-directional side loading forklift
•Proficiency with traditional forklifts
•Ability to use drawings and a measuring tape to identify parts
•Experience unloading and handling loads up to 32ft wide
•Microsoft Excel and data entry
•Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
•Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
•Must clear a pre-employment physical and a pre-employment drug screen test
•May be required to work more than 40 hours during the workweek
•A professional appearance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
