Summary:
Equinox Engineering is seeking an Intermediate Project Controls Resource Analyst to support effective resource planning and project staffing. Responsibilities include supporting the development, management and maintenance of resource planning tools and related reporting, as well as project controls functions support.
- Develop, maintain, and update project resource management plans using complex Microsoft Excel tools.
- Collaborate with account managers, project managers, discipline managers, and team members to understand resource requirements and availability.
- Provide regular resource staffing status updates and reports to project stakeholders.
- Support in the implementation of processes and tools to improve resource management efficiency and transparency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Involved in ad-hoc Project Controls tasks as required.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management or business.
- 4+ years of experience in project resource management, preferably in a multi-project environment- 3 – 5 years of experience in project controls and scheduling in oil & gas or mining.
- Must have an advanced level in Microsoft Excel (i.e. comfortable with building and maintaining sheets with complex formulas, pivot tables, graphs and data analysis tools).
- Strong understanding of resource management principles, best practices, and tools.
- Experience in creating and maintaining scheduling software (Primavera P6 and MS Project) and cost management tools, is a plus.
- Experience working with Power BI or similar Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
- Experience with database setup and management, is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, cost control processes, and budgeting.
