Intermediate Electrical Designer

TENG Inc. is a fast growing, medium-size engineering consultant company providing engineering and project management services to multiple industry sectors. We have an immediate need for an Intermediate Electrical Designer to work with our project team supporting our clients in the Greater Edmonton Area.

The Intermediate Electrical Designer - Drafter will help maintain a reputation for project quality in our fast-growing engineering company. His/Her work will entail detail design and drafting of electrical and control system, and preparation of construction work packages.

The successful candidate would have a strong, hands-on technical knowledge based on a degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or design, augmented by a minimum of seven years of experience in the relevant industries.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare electrical design deliverables including electrical plot plans, area classification drawings, single line diagrams, cable schedules, design calculations, control schematics, grounding and lighting drawings, cable/conduit/tray routing and sizing.

- Direct supervision from Project Electrical Lead, general supervision from I&E Section Head

- Experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.

- Experience with low-voltage electrical design, and preparation of construction work packages.

- Bachelor’s in engineering or diploma in a related field

- Minimum 5+ years of experience in related areas

- Work within an EPCM environment

- Experience with design in hazardous locations

- Light to moderate, site visits in Canada

- On-site support and in office work required

- Other duties as assigned
