Junior Electrical Designer / Draftsperson

TENG Inc. is a fast growing, medium-size engineering consultant company providing engineering and project management services to multiple industry sectors. We have an immediate need for an Junior Electrical Designer / Draftsperson to work with our project team supporting our clients.

The Junior Electrical Designer / Draftsperson will help maintain a reputation for project quality in our fast-growing engineering company. His/Her work will entail detail design and drafting of electrical and control system, and preparation of construction work packages.

The successful candidate would have a strong, hands-on technical knowledge based on a degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or design, augmented by a minimum of seven years of experience in the relevant industries.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare electrical design deliverables including electrical plot plans, area classification drawings, single line diagrams, cable schedules, design calculations, control schematics, grounding and lighting drawings, cable/conduit/tray routing and sizing

- Direct supervision from Project Electrical Lead, general supervision from I&E Section Head

- Experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.

- Experience with low-voltage electrical design, and preparation of construction work packages.

- Heavy Industry experience an asset

- Bachelor’s in engineering or diploma in a related field

- Minimum 2+ years of experience in related areas

- Work within an EPC environment

- Experience with design in hazardous locations

- Light to moderate, site visits in Canada

- Occasional on-site support

- Hybrid work model
