RC WATT is seeking an experienced Installation & Service Manager “ISM” with a BS degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, though a business degree will be considered with demonstrated electro-mechanical competency/experience. This manager will need to quickly earn the necessary certifications required to successfully lead a group of installation and service standby generator technicians and support personnel. Expect ISM, a salaried exempt position, to invest 50% of time onsite with staff (travel throughout southwestern PA) and 50% in office in support of professional development for staff.
ISM must demonstrate a strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical principles, and possess trouble shooting skills necessary to be successful in the position. ISM will be expected to be able to work safely around operating and energized equipment including in the performance of gas plumbing. ISM will train others to work safely.

•Relocation to within 1/2 hour of Irwin, PA within 90 days of starting work (required).
Responsibilities:
•This role is pivotal in driving strategic planning, resource optimization, process enhancement, and ensuring operational excellence.
•Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety protocols and promote a robust safety culture among all team members.
•Conduct regular safety meetings to ensure awareness and compliance with safety procedures.
•Oversee the day-to-day work of personnel involved in installation and service, allocating resources effectively to boost productivity while minimizing costs.
•Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement among direct reports and other staff.
•Coordinate training opportunities to enhance personal and team competencies, including further implementation of an electrician apprentice program.
•Set clear performance expectations, provide constructive feedback, and address/document performance and attendance issues promptly.
•Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to streamline operations, thus enhancing overall efficiency.
•Establish and enforce quality standards, conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer expectations.
•Identify potential operational risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
•Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and technological advancements to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
•Implement measures to identify and mitigate safety risks both within the organization and with external stakeholders.
•Build and nurture strong relationships with key customers, addressing their needs promptly and effectively to enhance overall satisfaction.
•Collect and analyze critical data to inform decision-making and drive operational efficiency.
•Responsible use of company provided fleet vehicle and adherence to all relevant policies.

•Experience in sales and business development is a plus
