Inside Sales Specialist

Sark Wire is seeking an Inside Sales Specialist to support daily customer operations and sales execution in a manufacturing environment. This role is customer-service and sales-support focused, involving order management, shipment tracking, customer communication, reporting, and internal coordination with production, logistics, and accounting teams.

This is not a digital or online marketing role. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with customers, data, and internal teams in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Work Schedule

Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Work Location: In person

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Customer Service & Sales Support

- Prepare and maintain daily sales, shipment, and backlog reports

- Track daily shipments, deliveries, and order status; proactively communicate updates to customers

- Receive, review, and process customer orders accurately and in a timely manner

- Manage customer RMAs, returns, and issue resolution in coordination with Quality, Production, and Logistics

- Communicate professionally with customers regarding order status, delivery timing, documentation, and issues

- Coordinate shipping schedules and special customer requirements

- Maintain accurate customer and order records in SAP and internal systems

- Support the Accounts Receivable (AR) team with customer follow-ups and collections

- Organize completed materials according to customer specifications

Sales & Customer Relationship Support

- Support sales managers with customer communication and follow-ups

- Reach out to existing customers regarding repeat orders or additional needs

- Assist with customer visits when required

- Attend industry trade shows, exhibits, and sector events as needed

- Support preparation of customer-facing materials (non-digital, non-campaign-based)

Qualifications and Requirements:

- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred

- 1–3 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, sales support, or order management

- Manufacturing or industrial environment experience preferred

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple daily priorities

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Comfortable working with reports, spreadsheets, and operational data

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

- SAP experience is a plus

- Ability to work in a plant/office environment and follow safety requirements

- Willingness to attend occasional trade shows or customer visits

Work Environment:

Physical and Operational Setting:

- Work is conducted in a plant environment that is typically loud and may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts.

- Must adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
