Description:
Integrated Water Services (IWS) is revolutionizing water! For over 20 years, we have been at the forefront of transforming water challenges into sustainable solutions. Our team of passionate innovators designs and builds cutting-edge water and wastewater treatment systems that protect communities and the environment. From bustling cities to remote regions, we are making a real, positive impact on the world.
We are not just engineers and builders; we are problem solvers, creators, and environmental stewards. Join us in building a better future, one water drop at a time.
We are seeking a driven and organized Inside Sales Manager to lead and evolve our inside sales function. This is a remote, independent contributor role (with preference for Austin/Houston candidates) that will play a critical role in quoting and converting new business for our innovative water and wastewater treatment systems.
You’ll be responsible for managing the full inside sales lifecycle—from RFP and quote generation through order conversion and project handover. You will coordinate across technical, engineering, and commercial teams to deliver accurate proposals with speed and quality. In parallel, you'll help streamline internal quote workflows and liaison with the Chief Commercial Officer on strategic initiatives to improve commercial team performance.
As IWS continues to grow, this role is expected to scale into a leadership position, managing a high-performing team of inside sales professionals.
Key Responsibilities
•Quote & Proposal Management: Generate and manage customer quotes, proposals, and responses to RFPs across multiple market sectors (municipal, residential, commercial, industrial, tribal, food & beverage, hospitality). Ensure technical accuracy, pricing competitiveness, and on-time delivery.
•Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with engineering, operations, product, and finance teams to scope and price solutions. Organize effective project handoff meetings post-order.
•Customer Interface: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during the sales quoting process, ensuring a seamless and positive experience through clear communication and responsive service.
•Salesforce CRM Ownership: Maintain and leverage CRM (preferably Salesforce) to track leads, quote progress, follow-ups, and customer data with rigor and accuracy.
•Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to streamline the internal quote-to-order process, improve speed, reduce rework, and enhance overall efficiency.
•Strategic Projects: Partner with the Chief Commercial Officer on ad hoc commercial initiatives, including analytics, dashboarding, forecasting, and internal alignment efforts to elevate sales operations.
•Sales Metrics & Reporting: Track and report KPIs including quote volume, turnaround time, quote-to-close ratio, and quote accuracy. Provide insights and recommendations to leadership.
•Growth & Leadership Vision: Play a pivotal role in laying the foundation for an expanding Inside Sales team. As the business scales, this role is expected to evolve into a managerial position, building and leading a team of inside sales professionals.
