Industrial Construction Trainee - Electrical

For over seven decades investor-owned utilities, municipalities, cooperatives, and others have entrusted their electrical construction and maintenance needs to Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. (Elliot).

Elliot is a full-service electrical contractor specializing in overhead and underground distribution, transmission, substations, lighting, traffic signaling, utility locating and industrial/commercial services.

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Industrial Construction Trainees supporting the installation of electrical systems on a large-scale industrial project. This role is ideal for candidates who are dependable, safety-focused, and willing to perform physically demanding work in a construction environment.

- Assist with installation of electrical infrastructure, including pulling medium voltage cable by hand

- Perform general heavy labor tasks such as lifting, carrying, staging materials, and site cleanup

- Support crews with tool handling, equipment setup, and daily work activities

- Follow all company and site-specific safety procedures at all times

- Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, indoor/outdoor construction environment

Qualifications

- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor (lifting, pulling, working on feet for extended periods)

- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

- Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude

- Ability to follow directions and work safely around active construction operations

- Prior construction or electrical experience is a plus, but not required

- Bilingual is a plus, but not required

- Drug and Background screenings required
