Position: HVAC Sales Manager (Working / Technical Role)

Stahl Plumbing, Heating & Air is an employee-owned company seeking an experienced Working HVAC Sales Manager. This role is ideal for a seasoned HVAC professional who can sell from hands-on experience and understands real-world installation and service requirements.

This is a technical, working sales role—you must possess the knowledge and ability to install, diagnose, and repair HVAC systems. You will be the company’s sole HVAC salesperson and will own the sales process from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in building a sales team

- Conduct residential and light commercial sales consultations

- Develop and present system replacement and upgrade proposals

- Close sales while protecting margins and company standards

- Perform accurate job scoping based on technical expertise

- Perform HVAC service, diagnostic, and installation work as needed

- Support installation and service teams with hands-on technical work

- Track KPIs, sales performance, and gross margins

- Perform consistent follow-ups on all sales opportunities

- Coordinate closely with service, install, and operations teams

- Use ServiceTitan for estimates, pricing, documentation, and reporting

Compensation

- Base Salary: $40/hour

- Commission eligible

- OTE: $90,000 – $130,000

- Performance Incentive: Ownership-aligned incentive tied to company profitability, margins, and overall performance. Employee ownership issued after 90 days of employment.

- Employee Ownership: Eligibility after 90 days of employment

Required Qualifications

- Extensive hands-on HVAC installation and service experience

- Ability to independently install and repair HVAC systems

- Proven HVAC sales experience

- Strong technical and diagnostic skills

- Proficiency with ServiceTitan

- High ethical standards and strong communication skills

- Ability to self-manage in a sole-sales role

- Valid Driver’s License
