Job Summary:
The HR Generalist is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. The successful HR Generalist acts as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management, the HR Generalist formulates partnerships to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
•Be a trusted advisor to leadership teams across geographic regions and provide HR guidance.
•Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
•Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase engagement and retention.
•Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
•Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies. ·
•Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
•Conducts exit interviews and provides guidance and advice regarding feedback and trends.
•Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
•Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
•6+ years of experience in HR Generalist role.
•Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
•Critical and strategic thinking skills · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities · Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
•Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
•SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
Preferred Skills:
•Experience with employee relations, conflict resolution, organizational development, and/or change management.
•Knowledge of benefits administration.
•Analytical skills for HR metrics and reporting.
