Reporting to the HR Superintendent, you will be part of the Human Resources Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
The Human Resources Coordinator will be accountable for providing expertise, guidance and recommendations for HR programs and leading projects related to Detour Lake Mine as well supporting the human resources team and Company objectives.
- Respond to employee inquiries related to policies, benefits, and HR programs
- Provide guidance to foster a positive work environment
- Participate in the planning, development and implementation of HR programs, policies and procedures
- Support the execution of corporate initiatives such as the annual employee satisfaction survey (GPTW), analyzing feedback and recommending action plans to improve engagement
- Maintain and organize employee files, ensuring all documentation adheres to regulatory and company standards
- Assist in audits and compliance reviews
- Contribute to annual HR planning cycles, including talent reviews, performance management, and compensation processes
- Support special projects that enhance HR service delivery and organizational effectiveness
- Promote continuous improvement and the adoption of best practices
- Send out offer accepted emails, COS for internal transfers/promotions, workforce cost centre report, update workforce plan monthly and ensure headcount balances, internal applicant file verifications
- Assist in the month/ quarter and year end financial closes
- Serve as a key resource on HRIS projects with a focus on business data and processes
- Oversee the maintenance of employee-related databases
- Support the configuration and implementation of systems, modules, data feeds and on-going technology enhancements as required and requested
- Establish strong relationships by delivering quality and timely service to staff at all levels of the organization
- Support the management of employee data and reporting
- Assist in all HR administrative duties as a back fill as required
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to supporting the HR function
- Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in HR Management, Business Administration, or related discipline
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is an asset
- Minimum 4 years of Human Resources experience in an industrial or mining environment
- Proficient in HRIS systems specifically SuccessFactors, data management, and reporting tools
- Experience with SharePoint administration and document management is an asset
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
- Proven commitment to health, safety and the environment
- High level of integrity and accountability
- Demonstrated ability to influence business leaders in multiple areas of human resources
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation and listening skills
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday at our Timmins Regional Office. Occasional visits to site will also be required, based on business requirements.
