We are looking for a talented Human Resources Assistant to join our team in Midland, TX
The HR Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department. This role is essential to ensuring the efficient and compliant execution of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and recordkeeping. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable about U.S. labor laws and HR best practices, and capable of managing confidential information with discretion.
- Assist with day-to-day operations of HR functions and duties.
- Support recruitment activities including posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating new hire onboarding.
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and personnel files in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Process employee changes such as promotions, transfers, and terminations.
- Support payroll and benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries.
- Assist with performance review cycles and training coordination.
- Prepare HR reports (e.g., headcount, turnover, attendance) as requested.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, including EEO, FMLA, FLSA, and OSHA.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Participate in HR projects, employee engagement initiatives, and process improvement efforts.
- A High school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Minimum 3 years of HR experience within the United States.
- Strong understanding of U.S. employment regulations and HR compliance.
- Proficiency in HR software systems (ADP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
