Job Description

As an HSE Lead at Flint, you will leverage your deep understanding of OHS regulations to promote a safety-focused culture among employees and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and providing technical expertise in environment, health, and safety.

- Promote health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices among employees and subcontractors.

- Provide technical expertise and support for HSE training and development.

- Manage WCB in partnership with Human Resources.

- Assist management with incident investigations and reporting. Ensure cause and corrective actions are implemented.

- Advise on compliance related to OHS and company standards.

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an industrial setting with a focus on safety coordination and compliance.

- Education in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field as well as specialized certifications and Journeyperson certificates are considered assets.

- NCSO designation with Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) and/or Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) certification considered an asset.

- Knowledge and experience with HSE Management Systems and audit tools, including Alberta Partnerships Certificate of Recognition (COR).

- Ability to lead a team of HSE Advisors effectively.

- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.

Additional Information

This position has been identified as a safety-sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
