Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment on construction sites. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all operations are conducted safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

- Operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, graders, and rock trucks.

- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.

- Safely transport materials using dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and front loader trucks.

- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.

- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.

- Follow all safety regulations and guidelines to minimize risks on the job site.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation with a focus on construction machinery.

- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment.

- Valid G driving license is required; valid AZ or DZ is preferred

- Familiarity with various types of heavy machinery including Caterpillar models is advantageous.

- Surface Mining Common Core is an asset.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
