We are currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our talented workforce. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, and cranes, to support our projects related to electrical transmission and infrastructure development. Your expertise in equipment operation will be critical in ensuring the successful execution of our projects, adhering to safety standards, and optimizing productivity on job sites.

Safely operating a range of heavy machinery, including cranes, boom trucks, excavators, and other equipment used in transmission line work.
Assisting with the construction of new transmission lines, including setting poles, stringing wire, and installing equipment like transformers and insulators.
Working on energized and de-energized systems to repair faults, replace components, and restore power.
Maintaining a strong focus on safety, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), understanding minimum approach distances, and adhering to company safety rules.
Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing company vehicles, equipment, and tools.
Working effectively as part of a team, following instructions from supervisors, and communicating clearly with other crew members.
Being capable of performing physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
Being willing to travel to different work locations, sometimes on short notice, and potentially working extended hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Equipment Operation: Knowledge of how to operate and maintain various types of heavy equipment.
- Rigging and Knot Tying: Understanding basic rigging techniques, hand lines, and lineman knot tying.
- Safety Procedures: Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to working with energized and de-energized high-voltage systems.
- Basic Electrical Knowledge: Understanding of primary and secondary voltages, induced voltage, and basic electrical components.
- Communication and Problem-Solving: Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and troubleshoot issues.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Willingness to Learn: Eagerness to learn new skills and adapt to changing work environments
